FESTIVAL wins best comedy award

FESTIVAL which has won awards for best comedy film, best director and best script from around the world since its release is distributed by Pathe, has been seen on Channel 4 and Film4 and is available (with a package of extras) to buy or rent on DVD.

FESTIVAL travels the globe

Following its recent nominations at the UK BAFTAs, FESTIVAL has recently been showing at the Mar del Plata film festival in Argentina as well as in Bermuda. It’s next major showing will be in New York where it will be launching the Scottish Film Festival being held as part of Tartan Week, a celebration of Scottish culture being held in the city. It will show at the Anthology Theatre on 32nd Street an 2nd on the 1st of April and will be attended by its writer/director Annie Griffin and star Chris O’ Dowd. The film which has won awards for best comedy film, best director and best script from around the world since its release is distributed by <a  href="links.html#Pathe"><u>PATHE</u></a> and is available now on DVD (with a package of extras) to buy or rent.

FESTIVAL at the Festivals

Youngfilms is currently in talks with the Cannes Film Festival about entering the newly completed comedy feature film FESTIVAL for the competition this Spring. The film by writer-director Annie Griffin, best known for her Channel 4 cult hit series The Book Group, is a mercilessly honest take on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the performers who take part. Youngfilms is also hoping that FESTIVAL, financed by UK Film Council's Premiere Fund, Film Four, Scottish Screen and Glasgow Film Office, may premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival this summer before Pathe releases it in UK cinemas from August 19th 2005.
